Is there anyone done LeMans wwith Inline-4?

I challenge myself to build a racing engine in Automation using a hugely stroked-up first-gen Scion xB engine. And the result is not bad.

I believe Porsche has one in their new LMP car. i don't know of any that are currently running though.

Okay, that said, AER made a 2.0L I4 turbo engine for the LMP2 class back when they were the sub-3.4L engine class. I'm not so up on the LMP engines now, but I was just thinking about making a Le Mans engine for the old LMP2 class.

On a side note, I can't wait until we get V6-10-12 engines. So much F1/WSC.

Top level in Le Mans? I think Matra might have done, but don't quote me on that.

I know plenty have in the lower classes.

AER builds I4 engines for racing prototypes, one of which is the Mazda MZR-R. The DeltaWings also had Nissan I4 engines equipped when they raced at Le Mans. There has been a prototype with VW I4 engine as well.

Alright heres the plan.

Step 1: Take the design for this engine

Step 2: Petition whoever's in charge of LeMans to open up a Miata Class, so that we're pitted against smaller teams without money

Step 3: Aquire Miata

Step 4: Drop engine into Miata

Step 5: Start up the official "Oppo Racing Engineering" Race team.

Step 6: Win LeMans

Step 7: Get monies.

I say no turbo. To win in LeMans, we just need to finish. I think somewhere along the line, theres going to be some complications with the turbos.
